Rediscover the Flame of Petroleum - The moreni city hall is promoting natural resources, elements of folk and folk art in the area of Moreni with the purpose to transfrom it into an attractive touristic destination and to increase its visibility through specific promotional means.
Redeem the Flame of petroleum, project co-financed by the Regional Operational Program 2007-2013, Priority Axis 5 - Sustainable Development and Promotion of Tourism, Key Area of Intervention 5.3 -" Promoting the tourism potential and creating the necessary infrastructure in order to increase Romania's attractiveness Tourist destination, is a two-year project (30.12.2011-29.12.2013) and is the main mean by which Moreni City Hall aims to promote the natural resources and elements of folk and folk art in the Moreni area in order to transform it into - an attractive tourist destination and to increase its visibility through specific promotional means.
Moreni municipality, located in the administrative territory of Dâmboviţa County, dates from the end of the 16th century and is the oldest oil center in the country. The underground resources were the ones that made Moreni a well-known center not only in the country but also abroad, and it is here that we have to say that here in Moreni were played important pages of the foreign policy of the country.

For easy access to the city, road access is made from:
DJ 710A - Which connects DN71 to DN1
DJ 720 - Is the road link with Târgovişte and between DN 72 and DN 1
